Scholar Laureate

When I went to Rio Salado, I was on the Dean's List and in the 90th percentile for grades, which resulted in me being invited and accepted to Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society. Well, today I got a packet from the mail from Phi Theta Kappa saying that I have been nominated to attend the International Scholar Laureate Program Delegation on Medicine! Because of my good grades and dedication, I have the option of going to either Australia for 8 days or China for 11 days in June.

Unfortunately, it costs $3,299 to go to Australia and $3,199 for China. I am not rich.

Oh well. I still think it's way cool that I got chosen. =)

I think you should do a fund raiser. Like wash cars, bake sale, mow lawns, or just send emails to family or who ever that can pitch in any money so you can get to travel to Australia!
